Monica Salvioli PhD

Monica Salvioli is PhD Candidate in game theory at the Department of Mathematics at Politecnico di Milano and the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering at Maastricht University.

Her research, carried out in collaboration with the Moffitt Cancer Center, focuses on understanding treatment of metastatic cancers through evolutionary game theory and designing the so-called evolutionary therapies. Such therapies take into account eco-evolutionary dynamics of cancer, targeting the cancer cells’ treatment-induced resistance strategies. Evolutionary therapies have a high potential to prolong patients' time to progression.
